This is a story about a journeyer. A Wayfarer. A person on the path. We are all, always, wayfarers. Sometimes the path is laid out before you with a shimmering clarity. And sometimes you can barely see your outstretched hands through the fog. But at all times the way is already laid beneath your feet. All you have to do is to find the courage to walk forward.

When I was writing this piece I had a very strong vision. I see at the beginning a very cosy and warm fire, a fireplace. A place to tell stories. There is someone there. I don’t see it as a person, but as a being. A wise being telling a story to a young being. They connect with each other, and then the wise being begins. The story starts with war. A complex war zone. The whole scene is there. I captured it in the music. The war is in the past now, but its legacy endures. All things then grow out of it. Beauty, peace, happiness, creation. They all become new seeds that blossom. And then life starts to happen. It could be anything. ANYTHING. The branches and blossoms and the trees and the leaves go on and on and on as the music develops and intertwines. They reach ever upward, like flowers yearning for the sun. These are the different periods, the different visions that, as a wayfarer you experience. But, left alone, like untended weeds, the effects of the war remain and strangle the undergrowth. Unresolved they again start to enervate and exhaust you. But, what matters most, is that within all the struggles you have the power to choose your own perspective. The struggles are in eventuality beautiful and calming. At the end it is not even that you reach somewhere, but something. Something. That inner peace. That last part it the inner peace. That’s what we try to create. The inner peace.
